Common Questions

Epoxy Flooring FAQ

Answers to what Alabama homeowners and business owners ask us most before getting a quote.

How long does an epoxy garage floor last?

A properly installed polyaspartic or epoxy system lasts 15–20+ years with normal use. The key is prep — diamond grinding creates a mechanical bond that holds. Systems installed over acid-washed or improperly prepared concrete typically fail in 2–5 years.

How much does epoxy flooring cost in Alabama?

Most residential floor coatings range from $8–$12 per square foot, depending on size, condition of the concrete, and finish choice. Commercial and industrial systems vary. We provide detailed written estimates at no charge.

How long does a garage floor coating take?

Most jobs span 2–4 days so each phase can be completed carefully for the best possible product. You should stay off the floor for at least 24 hours after the final topcoat, and vehicle traffic should wait 72 hours. Larger or more complex projects may take longer.

What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?

Epoxy is the base coat system — strong adhesion, good color stability, but slower cure. Polyaspartic is the topcoat — UV-stable, faster cure, harder wear surface. Most quality installations use both: epoxy primer and base, polyaspartic topcoat.

Do you work on commercial floors?

Yes. We install heavy-duty epoxy and polyaspartic systems for warehouses, retail spaces, auto dealerships, restaurants, and industrial facilities across Central Alabama. Commercial systems are spec'd for traffic load, chemical exposure, and downtime requirements.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Jasper, Alabama and serve Walker County, Jefferson County, Cullman County, Tuscaloosa County, and surrounding areas.

What does the lifetime coating warranty cover?

For qualifying installations, our written lifetime coating warranty covers delamination, peeling, and coating failure caused by covered material defects or our installation/workmanship. It does not cover damage from abuse, chemical spills beyond the coating system’s specified use, or structural concrete issues identified and disclosed during the estimate. The written warranty supplied with your estimate or contract controls, including maintenance requirements and the process for reporting a claim.
